PEACE LEKWOT BIOGRAPHY

Peace Lekwot has come a long way since being discovered by Coach Felix from Primary school. Behind every great child there is a great parent,coming from a family that know the true value of sports.
Peace, who is distinguishing herself as a future world beater, has in previous athletics meet won several other medals from 100m, long jump, and 4x100m which she specialises on.

In 2017, then 10-year old in JSS1 started showing sign of athlete to watch out for,during the Faith Academy Inter Houses Sport Festival, She dominant her age category and even challenged her seniors.

During her first Secondary school championship, She was unbeatable in the rounds representing Faith Academy. In the final, she raced to yet another podium finish, winning the Silver medal. The following day she team up with her seniors and raced to a 4×100m Gold medal.

In 2018, It was a different case of 2017 of the Faith Academy Inter Houses Sport Festival . Also dominant her age category again. But what made it unique she won the MicroManna Limited most valuable athlete of the year of Faith Academy.

A month later, Peace went head to head with her teammate Joy Bamaiyi but Joy showed her experience count  at the Destiny college inter collegiate athletics championship where she finished with Sliver medal.

In the Secondary schools championship, it was the same story of the Destiny college inter collegiate athletics championship with Joy Bamaiyi finishing behind her by clocking 13.57s.

Her performance at the Secondary schools Championship earned her call up for a National Youth Games, Ilorin2018.

In 2019, It was the same story of 2018 Faith Academy Inter Houses Sport Festival . Also dominant her age category again and winning the MicroManna Limited most valuable athlete of the year of Faith Academy.

Later that month, Peace upgraded her Silver medal of 2018 Destiny college inter collegiate athletics championship to Gold medal in the championship.

Having cleared the hurdle on her path by training and combining academics, another obstacle surfaced as Peace Lekwot's National Examinations Council schedule clashed with the 2019 Secondary Schools championship but thanks to her Mum and the school management, she was drove immediately after the examination to the competition venue. She has to go against her teammate Elizabeth Alege from Barnawa Baptist HIgh School, Elizabeth was unstoppable in girl's 100m u-15 final she stopped the clock in 13.12s ahead of Peace Lekwot with 13.24s. She also help her School to a Silver medal.
Peace Lekwot surprised Elizabeth Alege at the Kaduna state National youth games trials where broke 13s for the first time while competing in the girl’s 100m heat and in final clocking a then PB of 12.76.

After training for over 40 days in the camp, it was all set for Peace going into National youth games in Ilorin. Coming to the games as a contender of the medal podium. Woke up the morning of the 100m heat going into the stadium with high hopes after warm up moving to the call room just to find out that her names was not on the final starting list, it really affect her psychology but she was able to over come it and decided to exploited other event competing in Long jump 4.57m and High Jump 1.35m all narrowly missing the medal podium.

The 2019 MA athletics Kaduna Relays started with 4×100m Women's. Peace Lekwot ran super first leg to put Team CFASF in a comfortable position,handing to Temitope Olusesan who has had an impressive second leg,Favour Dare took the third leg which they were still in contention for a Gold medal. Elizabeth Alege received the baton on the anchor leg and she was very close to defending that Gold medal position until she stumbled a little a few metres before the finish line to finished second in the time of 52.12sec.
Following an impressive outing at the Kaduna State Inter Secondary Schools Games, Peace Lekwot representing Faith Academy having ran a new Personal Bests and maintained an unbeaten run through the rounds, she pulled out from the rest of the field to a huge new PB of 12.37s to win the 100m. She came back strong on day 2 to win Long Jump 4.50m, she only jumped twice at her first jump she jumped 4.48 and then second jumps which was 4.50m, while others jumped more than two times to get their best jumps. The Sabo Zone girls 4×100m team was a mixed up of all CFASF's athletes with quartet of Blessing Ikpa, Peace Lekwot, Favour Dare and anchored leg Elizabeth Alege, the team doesn't break much sweat to win the 4×100m.

You won’t find a better definition of Team CFASF breakout athlete than the story of Youngest performing Team CFASF female athlete Peace Lekwot. There’s hardly anyone who would debate that, as there are so many arguments and facts to defend Peace's instantaneous way to stardom in just a short period of time. The State Champion dominant her age category (U-15) at the 2020 Faith Academy Inter Houses Sports which started from October (2019) to February (2020). She won the MicroManna Limited and Golden Penny Food most valuable athlete of the year of Faith Academy for the third time in a row with 12-Gold, 1-Silver and 1-Bronze medals, Nobody does that only 'champions'.Ordinarily, one would expect a burnout from an athlete under the age category(U-15) whose body has been subjected to a lot of competitions that started since October but in the case of Peace Lekwot it is a different case always showing she is ready for more.
