ELIZABETH ALEGE BIOGRAPHY
Coach Felix academics and sport foundation fast rising female 100m star Elizabeth Alege.
Elizabeth first appeared at 2018 secondary schools sports festival in kaduna,She kept in touch with coach Felix because she was determined to join the foundation.Coach Felix decided to invite her to the foundation trials where she sealed it up with a 4th place and clocking a time of 15.48s in the competition,but coach Felix was not discouraged with her time.
He quickly realized her potential and turned her into a sprinter,she kept putting in the work needed to improve.After training and competing for 4 months she stormed a new personal best of 12.81s at the 2018 Kaduna state sports festival.
2019 turn to be her breakout year, At the Kaduna secondary schools sports all time most valuable athlete with 4 gold in one Championship, 100m for u-17 and both u-15 and u-17 for 200m and 4x100m.She was the first athlete to have won both 100m and 200m same day at Kaduna Secondary Schools Sports Festival.First athlete to deny Faith Academy girls all sprints races at Kaduna Secondary Schools Sports Festival.Super anchor leg runner of all time in Kaduna secondary Sports Festival.
At the CFASF third stake holders Congress 2019 she was awarded most dedicated athlete.The award is presented to CFASF athlete who is recognized as the athlete most relied on by the team for her talent and ability to come through in a difficult situation. It is awarded to the athlete who the CFASF Management believes has consistently demonstrated hard work throughout the year in different and difficult circumstances. She has shown leadership both on and off the track throughout the season.
After finishing 2019 with CFASF most dedicated award, She started her season early January at the Kaduna State Inter Secondary Schools Games. CFASF's Elizabeth Alege of Barnawa Baptist School has all odds as favourite for GOLD in the girl’s 200m, she etched her name in the history books as won the girls 200m with 27:32s, Although, her semi-final was faster. She late came up to anchored Sabo Zone to the 4x100m relay gold medal.
In Kaduna state sports festival where she rub shoulders with her more experienced counterparts and where she made the final but because of school activities in the morning she was pulled out and left to focus on the 4×100m, as a super anchor she anchored Chikun to a Gold medal.
She combines her athletics career with studies at Baptist high school Barnawa,Kaduna.
